Early Thursday morning, I found my Hubby on the kitchen floor unconscious. Long story short, we’re not sure if it was a seizure or a TIA or really what the fuck happened, but something definitely happened.
If you’ve never found someone you love facedown and unresponsive in a mess of blood, let me tell you, it’s scary as fuck.
We were lucky. He’s okay. Just tired. And pretty sore on one cheek, where his 6’4″ ass hit the floor when he crashed.
But what if he wasn’t okay? Thousands of people everyday have a situation where they’re not lucky. Where it doesn’t turn out okay. I talked about this a few months back after losing a friend to COVID-19 (#FuckYouCOVID19) when she was only in her mid-40s.
So go kiss your partner.
Hug your kids.
Call your mom.
Text your friends.
And tell them you love them.
Because you never know what can happen.
And tomorrow isn’t promised.
